Performance Management

Agrium Wholesale has a well-established performance management program and a performance-based culture. We provide employees with a clear understanding of business objectives and how individual and team efforts contribute to these objectives. We also aim to continually improve organizational performance.

Performance feedback occurs throughout the year, followed by a year-end assessment for all employees. Assessments are based on “what” the employee has achieved in terms of goals and job expectations and “how” the employee has performed, as well as the employee’s performance relative to peers.

The “how” of our performance management system is based on Agrium’s Formula for Success. Its five elements are:
